Journey into the Magic of Virtual Production

Join our Advanced Design Summer Programmes providing hands-on experience in various design fields through projects, workshops and talks led by industry professionals. The programmes provide interested individuals with the opportunity to unlock creativity, develop design portfolio and attain practical insights to kickstart their design careers.

Eligibility

The following students are eligible to apply:

  • Local S3 to S6 students in Academic Year 2024/25; or secondary school or equivalent from Mainland China
  • Local students pursuing another equivalent curriculum e.g. International Baccalaureate (IB) or GCE-AL
  • Preference will be given to S5 students

Participation Fee

Free of Charge for 1-day Summer Programme

Certificate of Participation

Participants will receive certificates of participation upon completion of the assigned activities and submission of evaluation form

Adverse Weather Arrangements

Typhoons / "Extreme Condition"

When typhoons (also refer to tropical cyclones) / "Extreme Condition" affect Hong Kong, the following arrangements will apply:

Typhoon Signal / "Extreme Condition" Announcement Action to be taken by IVE / HKDI Campus
No. 1 and No. 3 To operate as normal
Pre-No. 8 Special Announcement (note 1) / Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above / "Extreme Condition" Announcement (note 2)
In force or issued at 6:15 am or before 11:00 am Morning Session (classes scheduled between 8:30 am and 1:30 pm) to close
In force or issued at 11:00 am or before 4:00 pm Afternoon Session (classes scheduled between 1:30 pm and 6:30 pm) to close
In force or issued at 4:00 pm or thereafter Evening Session (classes that start at or after 6:30 pm) to close
Issued when classes are in session All classes will be immediately suspended for the session
Lowering to No. 3 or below or lowering all signals or cancellation of "Extreme Condition", at any time All classes to resume with the next session unless road or other conditions remain adverse

Notes:

  1. Where possible, the Hong Kong Observatory will issue an early alert (i.e. a "Pre-No. 8 Special Announcement") within 2 hours of the hoisting of the Typhoon Signal No. 8 (T8). When a Pre-No. 8 Special Announcement is issued, all classes /activities of campuses / centres will immediately be suspended
  2. If situation warrants, the Government may issue an "Extreme Condition" announcement before T8 is replaced with Typhoon Signal No. 3. The "Extreme Condition", if issued, normally covers the 2-hour period after cancellation of T8, and may be extended or cancelled by the end of the 2-hour period

Rainstorms

When rainstorm signal is issued, the following arrangements will apply:

AMBER To operate as normal
RED / BLACK
In force or issued at 6:15 am or before 11:00 am
Morning Session (classes scheduled between 8:30 am and 1:30 pm) to close
In force or issued at 11:00 am or before 4:00 pm Afternoon Session (classes scheduled between 1:30 pm and 6:30 pm) to close
In force or issued at 4:00 pm or thereafter Evening Session (classes that start at or after 6:30 pm) to close
Issued when classes are in session

All classes should continue (except those take place outdoors) until the end of the session, and if it is the end of the school day where RED / BLACK signal is still in force, students should be advised to return home only when conditions are safe

Remarks:

If students are not yet in the campus premises due to differences in class timetables, they should stay home or take shelter in a safe place
