Over the years, we have equipped young emerging talents with theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills through top-notch design education and well-rounded extended learning opportunities. We continue to bring international perspectives and regional insights with local relevancy in curriculum design, partnering with industry participants and spearheading the latest technologies to nurture our students. 2023 has been a year of accomplishments in which we extended our work-based projects, collaborating with governmental departments, major enterprises and NGOs, to ensure our students are job-ready when they graduate. The awards we win from worldrenowned competitions in Hong Kong, Europe, the USA and Aisia Pacific region are a testament to the excellence of our students and staff. To uplift our students’ skills and to master the latest technology, new teaching facilities like Craft Maker Lab, Jewel- Tech Space, advanced Arts Tech equipment, and development opportunities on metaverse are provided to ensure our leading position in design, balancing the conventional and virtual space. We provide industry-relevant programmes that fosters all our students with a global immersion experience through collaborative projects, such as renovating a commercial property, place-making a public garden, and redesigning graphics for public transportation, to name a few. To bring art and design to a broader community, one can also find our students’ designs or projects showcased in public spaces, like libraries, shopping malls, buildings and bridges. Our academic staff are highly qualified experts in their fields, regularly recognised for excellence in teaching. We aim to inspire students via a more comprehensive range of opportunities beyond the classroom, including master lectures by international design academics and professionals, in-campus world-class exhibitions and industry attachments.
