86 87 Department of Digital Media Department of Digital Media PROGRAMME STREAMS Since the academic year of 2022-23, only the following stream has been offered: • Higher Diploma in Creative Media (Mobile App and Web) PROGRAMME AIMS In response to the advancement of digital media and new technology, this programme provides cutting-edge creative applications for students to experience the new technology, equips students with digital literacy and technical competency in working with interactive media, mobile applications and website design technics to reconfigure our relationship with the world towards smart cities and new lifestyle. PROFESSIONAL CORE MODULES • Creative Coding / Programming • Digital Graphics • Interactive Information Design • Smart Media CAREER PROSPECTS Graduates may work from entry level to become art director, graphic designer, interactive media designer, mobile app designer, smart media designer, user experience designer, user interface designer, web designer, etc. ARTICULATION TO UNIVERSITY Graduates are eligible to apply for admission to the top-up degree programme offered by: • Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi): BA (Hons) in Cinematic Arts and Technology Graduates can also apply for admission to relevant degree programmes of local universities: • City University of Hong Kong: BA Creative Media / BSc Creative Media / BAS New Media • The Hong Kong Polytechnic University: BA (Hons) in Digital Media / BA (Hons) Interactive Media / BA (Hons) Scheme in Design Upon admission to relevant degree programmes, graduates can apply for credit exemption. The level of exemption will be considered on individual basis. PROFESSIONAL RECOGNITION Students are eligible to apply for student or affiliate membership of the Hong Kong Association of Motion Picture Post Production Professionals (AMP4), the Hong Kong Designers Association (HKDA), the Hong Kong Digital Entertainment Association (HKDEA) and the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (Hong Kong Section).
