Through innovative design, classic elements are integrated into daily applications. From home décor to everyday items, the exquisite beauty of Chinese culture is showcased from various angles, allowing this precious cultural heritage to flourish.
The Fashion Union - A Platform to Celebrate the Beauty of Workwear (The Fashion Union) is organised by the Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI) of the Vocational Training Council (VTC) and sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency as a programme of the Hong Kong Fashion Fest which is presented by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The event is designed as a platform to promote the diversity and inclusivity of workwear and its transformative aesthetics into contemporary fashion.
The Go-Greenovate campaign is Hong Kong Design Institute’s new initiative that aims to create a sustainable, eco-friendly learning environment, as well as to promote sustainable practices among students and staff through innovative and forward-thinking approaches.
The Hong Kong Denim Festival (HKDF), organized by The Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI) of the Vocational Training Council (VTC), serves as a platform to engage with the perspectives of denim culture and knowledge.
HKDI Gallery is a dynamic exhibition space with unique vision. We engaged with parties at home and abroad, including internationally acclaimed museums, designers and curators. With contemporary design as the cornerstone, we present a series of top-notch exhibitions every year ranging on graphic design, architecture, fashion, product design, multimedia and so on.
