HKDI Star Graduate Award Presentation Ceremony 2025
The HKDI Star Graduate Award Presentation Ceremony 2025 was successfully held on 31 March 2025. This year’s event marked the third edition of the HKDI Star Graduate Scheme, recognising 16 accomplished graduates who received the prestigious award, symbolising their exceptional achievements in both the field of design and academic performance. With this year’s honourees, the total number of award recipients has now reached nearly 60 individuals.
One of the most inspiring segments of the event featured two distinguished star graduates, John Situ from Interior Design and Oscar Tong from Music Production. They shared their personal journeys, experiences, and the secrets to their success with their junior fellows. Their words of encouragement served as a guiding light, igniting the flames of ambition and determination in the hearts of aspiring junior fellows.
In addition to the engaging sharing, Oscar also led a captivating performance alongside fellow student Scarlett Chung, singing "Burn & Shine." This song was co-created by the two of them and another star graduate, Y Siu, and has been released on the HKDI V Music platform. Their remarkable performance brought a lively energy to the ceremony, further highlighting the creative spirit of HKDI students and marking the ceremony's conclusion.
The HKDI Star Graduate Scheme garnered a positive response over the past three years. This programme not only enhances graduates’ sense of pride in their personal achievements, but also demonstrates HKDI’s commitment to nurturing and recognising outstanding talents. It also fosters connections between graduates, students and staff, thereby enhancing their sense of belonging to HKDI.
