Every Product Tells a Story – Untold matters of Red Dot award-winning designs 產品:故事
After the well-received collaboration between HKDI & IVE (Lee Wai Lee) and Red Dot Design Museum in 2012, the institution and museum decided to come together once again to exhibit “Every Product Tells a Story – Untold matters of Red Dot award-winning designs”. The exhibition tells the untold stories behind the prize winning projects and explores how designers make a difference through their boundless imagination.

Japanese Poster Artists – Cherry Blossom and Asceticism
Japan fascinates the world with its unique poster culture. The exhibition is a collaboration with Museum of Design Zurich, which showcases over two hundred pieces of Japanese poster works that represent the artistic statement and image advertising development in Japan from the 1950s to the present. Highlights include works by three old masters, Shigeo Fukuda, Kazumasa Nagai and Ikko Tanaka.

Exhibition Re Rag Rug – Contemporary Rug Design by Studio Brieditis & Evans: Sweden
Re Rag Rug is an innovative experimental project initiated by Swedish designers Katarina Brieditis and Katarina Evans, who re-invent the idea of “rug” with creative handicraft techniques in new contexts. Designers re-use old clothes such as t-shirts and sweaters as well as excess from the textile industry to recreate artistic yet pragmatic rugs. The exhibition is a collaboration with Studio Brieditis & Evans and supported by Swedish Institute.

Exhibition ECAL Diplomas – Best emerging designers from Switzerland
HKDI & IVE (Lee Wai Lee) co-organise “ECAL Diplomas – Best emerging designers from Switzerland” with ECAL-University of Art and Design Lausanne to feature 20 projects originating from both its Bachelor and Master’s degrees, including selected projects from the award-winning “Delirious Home” presented in 2014 Milan International Furniture Fair.
