Hello Students 
 
Welcome to HKDI and the Department of Communication Design! We’re delighted to work with you in the next two years (or three years if you choose to get a degree) to not only hone your skills and knowledge in your area of study, but to develop your passion in the profession and to launch your creative career so that you are ready for the future. Our faculty are experienced specialists and teachers who are more than happy to help you to achieve your goals in life. Feel free to approach them if you have any questions, need advice, facing challenges or simply want to have a casual chat. 
 
We have prepared many exciting curricular and extra-curricular activities for you throughout your experience at HKDI. Remember: education is not simply about passively acquiring knowledge. Your full participation is most important. Grab your chance to learn not only from your teachers but also your peers and everything else around you. Create, but also remember to read, observe and think. 
 
We encourage you to enter local and international competitions to test your abilities and learn from the experience, apply for the many scholarship schemes, overseas exchange, real-life projects and industrial attachment opportunities to enrich your experience here.
