This experience as an exchange student from Italy has been fundamental for my personal growth, not only as a student, but as a human being.
Oriental culture is very different from European culture, and it has far exceeded my expectations. Kindness is commonplace, as well as respect and safety.
Hong Kong made me feel at home despite the kilometers away, and the HKDI helped me to broaden my knowledge as a designer. Studying costume for performance was fundamental in improving my skills in pattern and fabric manipulation, as well as in learning more about this category of clothing.
In the end, if I could go back, I would make the same choice and go back to Hong Kong!
