London-based designer, Beatrix Ong has won critical acclaim, an MBE on Her Majesty The Queen’s 2011 New Year’s Honours list, in recognition of her services to British Fashion, an A list celebrity following and the receipt of the Freedom of the City of London in 2012.
Beatrix Ong established her eponymous brand in 2002, which quickly garnered significant attention in Vogue, Elle and Vanity Fair and continues to have a constant presence amongst international fashion press as well as television and film. In 2004, Ong secured a place on the Independent’s Top 10 Leading Shoe Designers list, alongside Manolo Blahnik.
In the lecture, Beatrix will give an insight into her creative process, share the experiences she has gained and her story from her beginnings in Hong Kong to the growth of a one woman brand.
