Master Lecture Series: Art & Publishing – A Conversation between Andreas Müller-Pohle and Tse Ming Chong
Speaker: Andreas Müller-Pohle, German Artist and Publisher
In this artist talk with Tse Ming Chong, Andreas Müller-Pohle will discuss his multimedia and publishing projects, with a focus on his latest work “Hong Kong Waters” and his current “Studies on Traffic”. Over the past decade, Andreas has visited Hong Kong no less than twenty times and generated a fascinating new perspective on this city in both his photographs and videos.
Apart from his art projects, Andreas is the editor and publisher of European Photography, an independent art magazine for contemporary photography and new media, which he founded in 1980. The talk will illustrate the complementary roles of art and publishing and will try to encourage young artists to expand their creative scope and skills, as nowadays, every artist can be one’s own publisher.
