Master Lecture Series: Designing Emotions

Speaker: Héctor Serrano, Spanish Product Designer

Héctor Serrano will talk about the work they do everyday in his studio. He will focus on the stories behind the projects, the development from concept to final products, the relationship with clients, the success and failures, how his daughter has influenced his work, and the importance of keeping things simple and having fun. Hector’s Design office was founded in London in 2000. His projects combine innovation with the communication of familiar ideas in an unusual and inventive way. His practice is divided into Product Design under his own name and Spaces under the commercial name of Borealis.

The client list includes companies such as Muji, FontanaArte, Roca, Moooi, Gandia Blasco, ICEX Spanish Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade, Droog Design, Metalarte, La Mediterránea, La Casa Encendida (Caja Madrid) and Valencia City Council, among others.
