Master Lecture Series:
The Paper of the Future on Earth

Speaker: Mr Dai Fujiwara, Japanese Fashion Designer

Mr. Dai Fujiwara is the former Vice President of Miyake Design Studio and Creative Director of Issey Miyake, and the designer and engineer of world-wide famous A-POC, the international well-known Japanese high-end innovative fashion brand. He joined the Miyake Design Studio in 1994 upon graduation from the Dyeing and Weaving programme at Tama Art University. After working collaboratively on the Issey Miyake Collections, he launched the A-POC project with Issey Miyake in 1998. The project received the Good Design Award in 2000 and the Mainichi Design Award in 2003. As a designer of exceptional vitality, Mr. Fujiwara is expanding from fashion into wide-ranging international genres, while avidly participating in workshops and lectures in Japan and abroad. He is now the Director of the Muji To Go project, a practical project under the famous Japan Muji brand, and Professor in Tama Art University in Japan.
