Exhibition: "Naïveland"

The selected work for the exhibition was completed by HD in Visual Arts & Culture Programme, Yr-2 students in the module of Chinese Visuals Arts and Appreciation. The exhibition encompasses a dualistic approach – one that attempts to acknowledge but finally move beyond the negative connotations surrounding “naïveté”, in order to consider the freedom and sincerity such a condition affords. The work may not be conventionally mature enough for some, but it is undoubtedly honest in its frankness and spontaneity. The work appears simple precisely because it remains “artless”. The hope is that this exhibition can provide a space for students studying visual art to experiment, to intuit, to wander freely with their ideas. Moreover, the exhibition provides an opportunity for everyone who is interested in art-related events to interact with one another.
