Drawing Project for Japan

11 April 2011

To convey their supportive messages and express care and concern for the citizens affected by the recent disaster in Japan, the Department of Design Foundation Studies initiated a drawing project inviting students and staff to assemble collages of their personal drawings. The theme of the first assembled piece on 25 March was Ganbatte Japan, You are not alone, which formed a red heart as a symbol of love. The subsequent one-month memorial drawing on 11th April was themed as Look up and keep walking, Japan. The second collage delivers a message of hope by showing a white dove on a green background. Photos of these art pieces will be sent to Japan to show our support.
