The HKDI Campus received the Commendation Merit in the Structural Excellence Award 2011, organised by the Joint Structural Division of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and the Institution of Structural Engineers. All nominated entries were evaluated according to professional criteria. The judging panel commended the HKDI for its state-of-the-art design and the open and dynamic environment created for teaching and learning.
