MoU Signing Ceremony with The Association of Hong Kong Chinese Middle Schools Company Limited
On 5 February 2026, a significant milestone was achieved when the Association of Hong Kong Chinese Middle Schools Company Limited and VTC (acting through the Hong Kong Design Institute) signed an MoU to explore collaborative opportunities to promote vocational and professional education and training (VPET), particularly in the discipline of design.
The collaboration will focus on three key areas to drive forward design education and vocational training. In terms of diversified student pathways, efforts will be made to promote creative design development and inspire students to explore various professional fields. Secondly, through the establishment of a professional teachers' community, the application of and exchange around artificial intelligence technologies in design education will be encouraged, ensuring teaching methodologies evolve in step with the times. Finally, emphasis will be placed on enhancing parents' understanding of vocational and professional education, deepening their knowledge of VPET so they can better support their children in exploring diverse pathways and identifying suitable directions for personal development.
This partnership aims to advance design education through meaningful dialogue and potential collaborative initiatives. Both organisations are committed to exploring innovative approaches that will benefit students and strengthen the design education landscape in Hong Kong.
