Creative Process: an experienced designer’s view on initiating and conceiving design

Speaker: Charles Kaisin

Charles Kaisin is a Brussels based architect designer. He is a pioneering figure to define the new paradigm of using recycled materials turning to sustainable and contemporary design. He is the renowned creator of the prominent K-Bench, an extendable bench awarded the Most Innovative Object prize at the Montreal Design Fair. As the young prodigy of Belgian design, he has been commissioned by several well-known brands because of his creativity in recycling and sustainable design.

Mr Kaisin made recycling one of his favourite themes. Its niche: create objects with a contemporary design from recycled materials and using structures like honeycomb. He currently teaches design at Saint-Luc, Architecture School in Brussels and is Art Director for Val Saint Lambert since 2010.
