Mark Coulier is the creative director of one of Europe’s leading make-up effects companies, Coulier Creatures FX (www.couliercreatures.com). He was the Oscar and British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) winner 2012 for the Best Make-up, for his work on The Iron Lady, by transforming Meryl Streep into Margaret Thatcher. He was also overseeing the creation of many memorable characters in Harry Potter, such as Lord Voldemort, the inflating Aunt Marge, the giant spider, etc. His other projects include Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, Alien III, Star Wars: Episode 1, The Mummy, Mummy Returns, to name a few.
In his seminar, Mark will share his secret of creating new characters by showcasing some of his previous works, and demonstrating techniques of prosthetic make-up. Take this chance to meet up the “magician” behind numerous movie characters.
