Master Lecture Series – Contemporary rug design by Studio Brieditis & Evans: Sweden

Swedish designers Katarina Brieditis and Katarina Evans will discuss the issues of sustainable design and their “Re Rag Rug” project– an innovative attempt which designers re-use old clothes such as t-shirts and sweaters as well as excess from the textile industry to recreate artistic yet pragmatic rugs. Brieditis and Evans will also introduce the knowledge of crafts making, share with the participants on how to make use of waste and talk about the challenge they encountered when working with limited materials.
