Winner of Oscar Best Make-up - Mark Coulier Sharing Prosthetic Make-up Expertise with HKDI Students

HKDI invited Mark Coulier, Hollywood prosthetic make-up artist who won "The Best Make-up" in Oscar and BAFTA by transforming Meryl Streep into Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady and created many memorable characters such as Lord Voldemort in Harry Potter, to conduct seminars and workshops at HKDI in January 2014. In the workshop, Mark Coulier demonstrated special effects makeup and body painting skills, shared his experiences along his career path, and encouraged students to maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude. This was an invaluable opportunity for HKDI Fashion and Image students to learn from, and be inspired by such an international prosthetic make-up master.
