Professional seminar on “Transmedia” co-launched by HKDI and Transmedia Next

HKDI launched the Transmedia seminar and workshops to the professionals of Hong Kong. Co-launched by HKDI and Transmedia Next, a team of internationally renowned Transmedia experts and trainers, the professional seminar on Transmedia was held on 21 March 2014 at HKDI. The speaker of this seminar - Anita ONDINE, is the Creative Director and Lead Trainer of Transmedia Next.
Transmedia is an industrial practice that disperses entertainment properties across multiple media platforms and markets, e.g. film, mobile and online technologies, social gaming and etc, in an attempt to mobilize viewers-users-players within immersive networks of engagement, participation and interactivity. During the seminar, Anita shared the strategy on engaging audiences, reinforcing their personal participation and desire to share their experience, also getting them to buzz with excitement and let the brand to be the talk of the town. Anita said “Although the concept of Transmedia as a discipline in its own right is still very new to Hong Kong, locals have been finding innovative ways to tell stories for centuries. We appreciated the support from HKDI, through this collaboration, we would like to make Hong Kong a prime location to become a Transmedia hotspot in the near future.”
HKDI and its Professional Education and Engagement Centre are taking a leadership role in this regard by bringing international Transmedia trainers to HK to share their knowledge, expertise and industry best practice with the local industry, with the aim to promote it to our new generation and lead design students to become Transmedia talents.
