VTC established "V Music" and the "V Music Library" to nurture young musicians by furthering their education and promoting their original music to the industry and streaming platforms. This initiative fosters collaboration between students, alumni, and industry professionals, enhancing career development and growth.

The "V Music Library" houses nearly 800 records, with an initial display of about 300 vinyl records for students and the public to visit and experience firsthand, providing a platform for music enthusiasts and creators to interact and create a rich musical knowledge hub.

HKDI has invited Dr Wong Chi-chung, a seasoned DJ with nearly 40 years of experience in music culture and education, to serve as the Creator-in-Residence. He will conduct vinyl record experience workshops and mini-concerts at the "V Music Library", sharing his expertise in classical music and guiding audiences to a deeper understanding of vinyl records and their significance in music history. On the opening day, many musicians and industry professionals attended, with singer Manson Cheung Chun Kiu as a guest performer, singing classic pop songs with students and alumni of HKDI.

The first exhibition at the "V Music Library," titled "Timeless Ideas & Icons," is curated by Dr Wong, shares the origins and turning points of three musical giants—The Beatles, David Bowie, and Ryuichi Sakamoto—incorporating carefully selected records and his insights to deepen the public's understanding of popular music and explore its mysteries.

To help students, alumni, and their musical creations reach the industry and the public, "V Music" will focus on enhancing the quality and efficiency of music production, bringing together design talents from various departments to create music videos for the works. The music produced by "V Music" will be distributed to major media in Hong Kong and made available on music streaming platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music, promoting the creations of young musicians and connecting art with the public through music.
