Two of the Higher Diploma in Architectural Design Year 2 students, CHEUNG San Hei and NG King Hei, won First Place in the “My Green Space” Student Competition organised by the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC) under the tertiary education division. They collaborated with two other students from Poly U and HKU and designed a model city based on the theme “My Ideal Green Smart City”. Their visionary design combines technical elements with nature, featuring a central power source, elevated buildings for housing, offices, and a hospital, with pedestrian levels below dedicated to green spaces. It illustrates how sustainable urban development can seamlessly integrate functionality, aesthetics, and environmental responsibility.
