HKDI Education Corner Creative Workshop 2025
HKDI is pleased to present the HKDI Education Corner Creative Workshop at DesignInspire 2025, taking place from 4 to 6 December 2025 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. As a concurrent workshop series of the Business of Design Week (BODW) 2025, themed "Curiosity Ignites Design Innovation”, we invite students and the public to explore how curiosity sparks exploration, inspires creativity, and unlocks new possibilities.
Through interactive and hands-on experiences, participants will delve into their design potential in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The sessions cover crafting a photogenic spot with gacha figures, exploring spatial design through interactive games, experiencing digital body printing and generative AI in visual design and animation, as well as creating a toy character, a denim rose and a 3D paper bear mask.
Mystery Box Workshop
Join the Mystery Space Workshop to create unique photo scenes in a transparent box, craft a unique photogenic spot with your gacha figure! Unleash your imagination and creativity that reflect your style, transforming materials into captivating visual narratives.

Mine Space Planner
A space design experience session will be conducted through interactive games. Students will need to use variously shaped puzzles within a designated area to simulate the thinking and design process of space designers when facing real-world constraints. Through hands-on operations, you will construct your personal spaces.

Create Your Own Toy Character
Discover the fun of toy character design! Each student will be given a doll model to colour and add accessories freely to create a unique toy character. You will experience the fundamentals of product modelling, 3D and accessory design, and inspire your interest in product design, laying a solid foundation for your future creative design development.

Digital Body Printing
A can’t-miss workshop for students to experience the complete process from drafting to digital illustration and then to creative printing. By using digital tools, you will transform your ideas into vibrant electronic doodles and utilise a handheld device press for body art, inspiring everyone’s sense of touch in fashion.

Digital Media Magic with Generative AI
Embark on an aesthetic design journey and explore the possibilities of generative AI in visual design and animation! Discover diverse artistic styles and animation techniques, using AI tools to create a personalised short music video. In this collision of inspiration, craft your very own visual story.

Upcycling Denim Rose Workshop
Upcycling discarded denim fabric into unique, everlasting denim roses through creativity! Students will select and cut denim fabric—no sewing experience required. Let’s transform waste into treasured accessories, integrating environmental protection values into daily life while unleashing green creativity.

Dive into Creativity at the Paper Folding Art Workshop: Paper Bear Mask Making!
Students will transform flat templates into stunning 3D masks using precision-cut paper pieces. They will also learn the art of folding and glueing by creating a unique, wearable masterpiece that reflects their personal style. This hands-on experience promises fun and inspiration for a seasoned artist and a curious beginner. Join us and let your creativity shine!
