MoU Signing Ceremony with Guangdong Provincial Association for Non-Government Education
The Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI) joined hands with the Guangdong Provincial Association for Non-Government Education, Zhanjiang Boya School, and Foshan Sanshui Bodelohan Foreign Language School to hold a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony on 1 April, formally marking the commencement of collaboration.
The ceremony was witnessed by Dr Michael Wang, Deputy Executive Director of the Vocational Training Council; Dr Elita Lam, President of HKDI; Mr Zhao Kang, President of the Association; and Mr Zhao Wenbin, Vice President. The partnership signifies a new milestone in design education collaboration between the Greater Bay Area (GBA) and Hong Kong.
Looking ahead, the collaboration will focus on Mainland senior secondary students aspiring to pursue careers in design and the creative industries. A range of initiatives will be introduced, including cross-border study tours, campus visits, programme taster sessions, workshops, and master lectures. In addition, students will be provided with guidance on applying for further studies in Hong Kong, programme selection advice, and academic support, helping them to broaden their horizons and strengthen their design foundation.
The collaboration will contribute to develop a GBA–Hong Kong educational exchange platform. This initiative is designed for those seeking to establish a robust foundation in design or to expand their global outlook, providing a significant advantage for their future careers.
