8 Sep 2014

HKDI has been collaborating with design institutions all over the world to offer our students the best learning opportunities. After the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Ecole cantonale d’art de Lausanne (ECAL) earlier this year, the Institute has recently signed an MOU with Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdk) from Switzerland in 2nd September 2014.

The Memorandum was signed between Professor Hansuli Matter, Vice President of ZHdk and Mr. Leslie Lu, Principal of HKDI. The Memorandum signing ceremony was also attended by our honourable guests, Mrs. Carrie Yau, Executive Director of VTC and Dr Michael Krohn, Leader of the Master of Arts Programme in Design in ZHdk.

After the signing ceremony, delegations of ZHdk participated in a guided tour around the HKDI campus and visited some of the teaching and learning facilities. They all looked forward to the upcoming student exchange programmes between the two institutions.

Located in Zurich, Switzerland, ZHdk offers a large variety of academic programmes in Education, Design, Film, Art & Media, Dance, Theatre and Music. As a local design institution, HKDI has been devoting its effort in promoting creative education and nurturing future design talents. Through the collaboration between ZHdk and HKDI, the two institutions seek to foster interactions among teachers and students of both schools, allow students to obtain a global perspective, as well as to enhance their abilities to appreciate and learn from different cultures.
