Hong Kong Design Institute is delighted to congratulate Wong Hoi Nam, Anthony, a graduate from the Higher Diploma in Fashion Design programme under the Department of Fashion and Image Design, on winning 2nd Runner-up at the Thread of Creativity Fashion Design Competition 2026.

The Fashion Show and Award Ceremony of the competition was held on 5 September 2026 at THE STAGE, CENTRESTAGE, Hall 3C, 3/F, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event formed part of the city’s fashion calendar during CENTRESTAGE, providing a platform for young creative talents to present their design concepts and collections to industry guests and the public.

Organised as a youth fashion initiative in Sham Shui Po, the competition encouraged participants to explore fashion design through creativity, craftsmanship and community inspiration. Anthony’s achievement reflects his strong design potential, creative interpretation and ability to transform ideas into a compelling fashion presentation.

HKDI is proud to see its student and graduate gaining recognition in a public fashion competition and showcasing the learning outcomes of the Higher Diploma in Fashion Design programme. This achievement demonstrates the Institute’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of fashion designers and creative practitioners.
