During the exchange, I had the chance to design a bike with a design collective in Copenhagen, where I learned the ‘open source’ approach that enables users to modify the bike to suit their needs.
Back in Hong Kong, I adopted the same philosophy into my design initiatives with a group of upcycling designers and engaged the community to co-create bike-like objects or furniture with recycled materials.
