HKDI Gallery presents three intriguing exhibitions this year, Tonight with the Impressionists, Paris 1874 – An Immersive Expedition in Virtual Reality (Purchase Ticket Here), The Warm-beings: Guangzhou Design Triennial – Hong Kong Exhibition and IITERNITI + U - A Korean Virtual Idol Exhibition.
Co-produced by Excurio, GEDEON Experiences, and Musée d'Orsay, Tonight with the Impressionists, Paris 1874 – An Immersive Expedition in Virtual Reality celebrates the 150th anniversary of Impressionism, offering an immersive VR experience that allows visitors to enter the opening night of the first Impressionist exhibition. Attendees will encounter iconic artists such as Monet, Renoir, and Degas, discovering the works that marked the movement's beginnings. Meanwhile, The Warm-beings: Guangzhou Design Triennial – Hong Kong Exhibition, co-presented by the Guangdong Museum of Art and set to run in late January, is a curated edition of Guangzhou Design Triennial 2024, to exhibit 22 important works from Chinese contemporary designers. With "warmth" as its theme, the exhibition showcases in Hong Kong for the first time curated works from contemporary Chinese designers, and aims to explore the social value of design, reflecting creativity and humanistic care while promoting the development of contemporary design in support of social progress and a sustainable environment.
IITERNITI + U - A Korean Virtual Idol Exhibition, co-presented by Pulse 9, featuring the world’s first AI-driven virtual idol group, IITERNITI, through captivating interactive installations. This exhibition redefines the boundaries of human-AI interaction, allowing visitors to engage with the idols for a unique and personalised experience.
