Government Subsidy Scheme
The following are the available financial subsidy schemes for those who would like to study the self-financed programmes. Each scheme has different requirement. Please check the details carefully.

Vplus Creative Industries
for Design & Information Technology programmes
Eligibility
- Holder of Hong Kong Permanent Resident Identity Card.
- The scheme is effective from 1 September 2019, until 31 Aug 2024.
Subsidy Amount
- Eligible applicants can claim 60% of the course fee paid up to a max of HK$36,000.
- Applicants may apply for reimbursement for more than one eligible programmes.
Apply
- Individual applicants to apply.
- Applicants settle the course fee BEFORE the application.
- No any other subsidies (either from the government or employer) can be obtained for the same course.
Requirements for the Reimbursement
- Students must meet the minimum attendance of 70%; AND
- Students must obtain a passing grade which is 40 out of 100.

Vplus Engineering (as ETSS)
Eligibility
- Holder of Hong Kong Permanent Resident Identity Card.
- The scheme is effective from 1 September 2019, until 31 Aug 2024.
Subsidy Amount
- Eligible applicants can claim 60% of the course fee paid up to a max of HK$45,000.
- Applicants may apply for fee refund for not more than two programmes under the scheme.
Apply
- Individual applicants to apply.
- Applicants settle the course fee BEFORE the application.
- Applicants should apply via the website within one month (30days) from the commencement for the programme concerned.
- No any other subsidies (either from the government or employer) can be obtained for the same course.
Requirements for the Reimbursement
- Students must meet the minimum attendance of 70%; AND
- Students must obtain a passing grade which is 40 out of 100.

CEF (Continuing Education Fund)
Applicable to CEF courses which commenced on or after 1 August 2022
Eligibility
- Hong Kong residents who have the right of abode or the right to land or to remain in Hong Kong without restriction.
- Aged 18 or above at the time when the CEF reimbursable course commenced.
- Have enrolled in and paid the tuition fee for the CEF reimbursable course.
- Have not obtained any other public funds or assistance under any other publicly-funded financial assistance schemes for the same course.
Subsidy Amount
Max. Amount up to $25,000 (Reimbursable courses which commence on or after 1 August 2022)
- Applicant can claim 80% of the course fee, up to max of the first $10,000 subsidy.
- Applicant can claim 60% of the course fee, up to max of the second $15,000 subsidy.

- Individual applicants to apply.
- Applicants settle the course fee BEFORE the application.
- Application AFTER completion of the course.
- Applicants can apply for ENLS for the same course.
Requirements for the Reimbursement
- Students must attend no less than 70% of the contactable hours of the course; AND
- Students must attain marks of minimum 50% in each module.

NITTP (New Industrialisation and Technology Training Programme)
Formerly known as the "Reindustrialisation and Technology Training Programme (RTTP)". The "New Industrialisation and Technology Training Programme (NITTP)" has been introduced with effect from 30 October 2023.
Eligibility
- Companies registered in Hong Kong under the Business Registration Ordinance (Cap. 310);
- A non-government and non-subvented organization; AND
- The employee nominated is a Hong Kong permanent resident under full-time employment of the company with the necessary background / experience relevant to the advanced technology.
Subsidy Amount
- Each company is subject to a funding ceiling of HK$500,000 in each financial year at the course commencement date.
- Companies should contribute no less than one-third of the actual training cost.
Notes to Company
- Company (applicant) to apply for staff.
- Applicants settle the course fee BEFORE the application.
- Reimbursement to be applied by the Company (applicant).
Application Procedures
- Companies should send their applications for training grant to the NITTP Secretariat at least FIVE weeks before course commencement.
- Companies should apply via the online system (https://nittp.vtc.edu.hk/) and provide relevant documents to the NITTP Secretariat.
- Alternatively, application form could be submitted to the NITTP Secretariat (in person, by post, by fax or by email) together with the documents.
- Late application may not be processed and may be returned to the applicant.
- Acknowledgement receipt will be sent to the company within seven working days.
Reimbursement of Training Grant
The training grant is payable upon the satisfactory completion of the training courses. Companies should submit claim form and relevant documents to the Secretariat within TWO months after course completion.
