Glassblowing・Beginner Workshop|Enroll Now
This four-day course offers a structured approach to learning the core techniques of glassblowing—pulling, pinching, blowing, and flame control through rotation.
From mastering tools and techniques to creating both glass sculptures and cups, you will complete four or more unique pieces of your own. This course is ideal for beginners with a keen interest in glassblowing.
- Day 1: Get to know the materials and tools, and the safety rules of the hot shop. Practice solid glass sculpting (e.g., roses, flowers, or simple paperweights), and work together as a team to complete your creations.
 - Day 2: Learn how to use hollow stainless-steel blowpipes and develop glassblowing techniques, and make hollow glass spheres and small containers.
 - Day 3: Build on what you have learned so far by exploring cup forms. Practice controlling temperature and glass thickness as you create your own glass cup.
 - Day 4: Team collaboration—complete a full glass cup from start to finish. Experiment with adding colored glass pigments for unique effects, and finish the workshop with a high-quality finished piece.
