Understanding Customer Needs to Set Strategic Direction

Description
Understanding Customer Needs helps Product Teams define requirements, scope and focus on what is a meaningful priority to set strategy and direction. This workshop will help you with methods/tools to better understand the customer and how to connect this into design.
Outline
This session will help you:
- Define the methods/tools in understanding customer needs
- Define the stakeholders who help support customer research programs
- Outline the organisational risks and opportunities in understanding customer needs
- Outline a UX Customer Research and Strategy Plan to explore the services, stakeholder support and key assets needed.
Audience
This workshop is for any sector in industry, government or non-profit organisation and groups including but not limited to:
- Leadership Teams focusing on both the organisational strategy and developing a culture that enables potential
- Program, Product and Project Management focusing on the design and development of humane products, services and experiences
- Teams of Customer/User Experience designers and researchers focusing on the platforms upon which organisations build their product and service strategies.

Aligning stakeholders is critical to achieving goals and reaching organisational success points to meet customer needs. This workshop explores barriers and opportunities when aligning stakeholders, methods/tools used and outcomes to define value propositions.

This session will help you:
- Define the methods/tools for aligning stakeholders
- Define key stakeholder personas, needs and key characteristics to look out for
- Outline the artifacts needed to capture stakeholder needs and strategic outcomes
- Outline a Stakeholder Plan to describe activities, tools/methods in managing, leading and sustaining the stakeholder relationships.

This workshop explores the critical practices needed to design learning cultures and the key tools for leaders to sustain meaningful work.

This session will help you:
- Define the key tools and soft skills needed for optimal learning environments
- Tools to help individuals and teams to define their own learning plans
- Describe the strategic importance of soft skills and reflective journaling to capture best practices
- Outline a Leadership Learning and Development Plan to describe activities, tools/methods in managing, leading and sustaining continuous learning cultures.

This workshop is for any sector in industry, government or non-profit organisation and groups including but not limited to:
